Terms of Service

Between you and Better Call Paul LLC ("we", "us").

1. What the service does

Logbook stores scanned aircraft maintenance records, extracts text from them using AI, and compiles them into records packages. It is a backup and indexing tool. It is not your system of record and does not perform, certify, or approve maintenance.

2. Your responsibilities

• Keep your original records. You remain responsible for keeping, producing and transferring your aircraft's maintenance records. You agree not to rely on this service as your only copy.
• Review what the AI extracts. Entries must be confirmed by a person before they enter a record. You are responsible for that review.
• Upload only records you are entitled to upload, for aircraft you own or are authorized to work on.
• Protect your PINs. Anyone with an aircraft's PIN gets the corresponding access. Rotate a PIN when someone should no longer have it.

3. Accuracy and airworthiness

We do not warrant that extracted text is accurate or complete. Where the extracted text and a scanned page differ, the scanned page governs. Nothing in this service constitutes an airworthiness determination, an approval for return to service, or maintenance advice. Those are the responsibility of the certificated individual or repair station performing the work.

4. Your data

You own your records. We store and process them to provide the service. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to train models. You can export everything at any time.

5. Availability

We provide the service on a commercially reasonable basis without an uptime guarantee. If we discontinue the service we will give at least 90 days' notice, during which export remains available.

6. Fees

Fees, if any, are as stated at sign-up. Processing charges reflect the pages read. Monthly page allowances apply and are shown in your account; uploads beyond an allowance are refused rather than silently charged.

7. Termination and retention

You may stop using the service at any time and export your data. After cancellation, records are retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted. We may suspend an account for non-payment or for use that threatens the service or other customers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of records where you have not kept your originals as required by section 2.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in advance, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
